Manama, March 28 (BNA): The Bahrain Space Agency took part in a specialized space law seminar that addressed the legal frameworks governing activities that take place outside of Earth.

The Bahrain Space Agency’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, and legal experts from the organization attended the conference, which looked at jurisdictional issues, judicial precedents in space-related matters, and the application of criminal law beyond Earth.

The Outer Space Treaty and other current legal frameworks, as well as the development of enforcement strategies pertaining to lunar bases, commercial stations, and future settlements, were also covered in the seminar.

The involvement, according to Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa, Senior Legal Researcher at the organization, helps initiatives to improve national legal capacities and create laws regulating space operations in accordance with international norms.

The agency stated that the involvement advances regulatory and legal preparedness for the sustainable and safe use of space.
