Manama, Feb. 5 (BNA): In the presence of Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services (RMS), and Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, the RMS launched the “Basmat Shifa” electronic donation platform at the Bahrain Oncology Center. The project is to increase community-based contributions to cancer patient care and fortify healthcare support programs.

According to Minister Al Maawda, the platform reflects the Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation’s dedication to open and effective resource management and facilitates safe and convenient electronic donations, making it a cutting-edge example of community collaboration. “The initiative is part of an integrated collaboration between the Foundation and the RMS to enhance patient support services and supports the sustainability of health and social programs,” he said.
In keeping with Bahrain’s goal to develop its healthcare industry, the RMS Commander characterized the platform as a strategic step in encouraging community involvement in healthcare that allows people and organizations to support therapeutic and diagnostic services at the Bahrain Oncology Centre through a secure digital system.
