Manama, Oct. 22 (BNA): Jenan Al Hashli, Head of Public Policy for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at TikTok, and Maria Cohn, Deputy Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for the METAPSA region, met with Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information.
Information Minister meets TikTok delegation to discuss digital content cooperation
In order to encourage the expansion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s digital media industry, Dr. Al Noaimi stated that the ministry is dedicated to strengthening collaboration with prominent international social media platforms, such as TikTok. According to him, the ministry keeps fostering the development of national talent, enhancing their proficiency, and promoting the use of global best practices in the creation of innovative and meaningful digital content.
The Information Minister went on to say that collaborations with foreign venues support the development of an innovative atmosphere that highlights Bahrain‘s youth’s potential and their capacity to compete both domestically and internationally. He claimed that these initiatives support the Kingdom’s goal of becoming into a regional center for the creative and digital industries.
In order to assist content creators in Bahrain and enhance the Kingdom’s visibility in the regional and international digital media arena, Maria Cohn and Jenan Al Hashli stated TikTok‘s interest in working with the Ministry of Information on training, knowledge sharing, and the development of digital skills.
