Nov. 6, Manama (BNA): A global center for technical testing and the assembly of Mobile Pipe Production Units (MPPU) has been established in the Kingdom, according to PurePipe, a leading technology company based in Switzerland that specializes in smart and sustainable piping systems. The announcement was made at the recently held Gulf Gateway Investment Forum 2025 in Bahrain.

PurePipe to establish $60 Million global testing, mobile pipe production centre in Bahrain

The project, at a cost of USD 60 million, is located in the Bahrain International Investment Park. It marks an important turning point in PurePipe’s international growth and shows the company’s faith in Bahrain as a top location for investments in cutting-edge manufacturing and clean technology.

PurePipe’s sophisticated piping systems and its unique digital platforms improve the design, building, and maintenance of water and energy infrastructure.

Pipeline assembly can be done immediately at project locations thanks to the mobile and automated production model, which lowers the need for transportation, material waste, and possible environmental impact.

The company is exploring trial technical programs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Europe through its Bahrain initiative, including a partnership with Gas Networks Ireland. By 2026, PurePipe technology is anticipated to be fully commercialized, facilitating the shift to more intelligent and robust infrastructure networks.

PurePipe’s chairman, Nick Cochrane-Dyet, emphasized that Bahrain’s advantageous location, robust industrial base, and encouraging environment make it the perfect location for the company’s global technical testing and Mobile Pipe Production Unit center, demonstrating their long-term dedication to smart infrastructure and sustainable growth.

In addition to its operational role, the Bahrain center will provide a venue for knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and skill development.

Additionally, the company intends to train and develop Bahraini talent in automation, materials science, and digital systems while collaborating with stakeholders in the water and energy sectors of the region to promote applied innovation.

The PurePipe facility in Bahrain is intended to play a crucial role in expanding the company’s global network and expediting the implementation of sophisticated infrastructure solutions worldwide, building on its current operations in the UAE and its rising footprint in Europe and the GCC countries.
