August 28, Manama (BNA): The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, met with a number of authorities at Riffa Palace today to discuss the most recent developments on the Muharraq City Development Plan.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Order, which aims to preserve Bahrain’s historical and cultural identity through the restoration of iconic sites like the Isa Al Kabeer Palace and the neighborhoods of Muharraq, will be implemented, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad reaffirmed.

The importance of Muharraq as one of Bahrain‘s oldest cities and a hub of rich heritage was emphasized by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

His Royal Highness emphasized the value of encouraging neighborhood revitalization and protecting its cultural landmarks.

In his overview of the most recent advancements in the Plan’s execution, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad pointed out that maintaining momentum and fostering strong teamwork are essential to the Plan’s success.

Alongside the Kingdom’s development initiatives, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister both emphasized the significance of protecting cultural and heritage assets.

In accordance with HM the King’s Royal Order, officials in charge of carrying out the Muharraq Development Plan thanked His Royal Highness for his steadfast support and reaffirmed their commitment to delivering on the Plan’s pillars.

His Majesty Senior officials were also present, including His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister‘s Court.
