October 19, Manama (BNA): The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) and Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIFA) Chairman, Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, was present at the signing of the collaboration agreement between SHIFA and Amana Healthcare – Bahrain. Under the National Health Insurance Program (SEHATI), the agreement intends to offer citizens post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care services.

Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) CEO Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Health Minister Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan were present for the signing.

In keeping with the goals of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Council is dedicated to supporting initiatives that advance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s healthcare system and improve the caliber and effectiveness of specialized services offered to citizens. Dr. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah emphasized this commitment.

According to him, in order to guarantee the sustainability and effectiveness of healthcare services for its residents, the SCH keeps improving an integrated health model that is in line with international advancements and focuses on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The deal, according to Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah, demonstrates the Fund’s continued dedication to improving integrated healthcare services, which include specialized and long-term rehabilitative treatment. He pointed out that this collaboration with Amana Healthcare-Bahrain is an example of a state-of-the-art approach to healthcare collaboration between the public and private sectors, providing residents with safe and all-inclusive treatment options in the Kingdom that meet the needs of patients and their families while enhancing quality of life and long-term health.

The deal, according to the health minister, represents the government’s strategy for consistently modernizing and advancing the healthcare system through successful strategic alliances with the private sector. In order to promote sustainable development goals and advance the idea of comprehensive healthcare, she continued, the Ministry lays a specific emphasis on growing services that guarantee patient comfort, quality, and safety.

Together with Mumtalakat, Amana Healthcare-Bahrain is a member of the M42 Group. Based on Amana Healthcare’s expertise in the United Arab Emirates since 2013, it specializes in offering post-acute and long-term rehabilitation services. The hospital uses an advanced care model, providing individualized and specialized medical services in a setting that feels like home, with a focus on patient comfort and family support during the course of treatment and recuperation.
