Manama, Nov. 11 (BNA): Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), visited the Cardiology Unit at Salmaniya Medical Complex to review its operations and follow up on efforts to enhance specialised cardiac care services.

Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah was briefed on the unit’s training and research initiatives to improve healthcare quality and broaden specialized services throughout government hospitals, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic services offered in accordance with the most recent international medical standards.

The SCH Chairman praised Salmaniya Medical Complex for its advanced cardiac patient care services, highlighting the skill and efficiency of national medical professionals who are instrumental in fulfilling national health goals and providing integrated healthcare aligned with international best practices.

Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals Administration, mentioned that the enhancement of the Cardiology Unit is a component of continuous initiatives to improve infrastructure and increase capacity at Salmaniya Medical Complex.

She mentioned that the unit is broadening its diagnostic and treatment services by utilizing advanced digital technologies, which aids in speeding up diagnosis, increasing accuracy, and improving both the patient experience and the overall quality of care
