Manama, February 25 (BNA): To improve collaboration in a number of health and medical domains, the Primary Healthcare Centers and the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). In order to improve services and develop capabilities, the MoU allows for the implementation of specialized training programs as well as the support of educational and rehabilitation projects.

The MoU, according to Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive of the Primary Healthcare Centers, focuses on enhancing collaboration in performing routine and preventive medical tests for kids with autism spectrum condition. She pointed out that this collaboration will enhance the quality of medical services and promote the advancement of healthcare practices, both of which will benefit children’s health.

The MoU is a significant step in integrating efforts between the health and civic sectors, according to Dr. Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Association for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties. In order to help provide comprehensive and integrated services for children and their families, the association aims to establish strategic partnerships that work, she continued. Cooperation will improve early detection, streamline referral processes, and offer more specialized and responsive healthcare treatments catered to the needs of children, she said.
