Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): Consultants, doctors, and other medical experts from government hospitals and primary healthcare facilities attended a specialized awareness forum on newborn hearing screening that was organized by government hospitals.

The occasion is a component of initiatives to improve early detection and preventive programs and guarantee the standard of care given to newborns.
The forum highlights Bahrain’s strong commitment to fostering a culture of preventative healthcare and providing medical personnel with the skills and resources they need to improve service quality, according to Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals. She went on to say that these kinds of programs help protect the next generation and provide a healthy start for each baby.
In her remarks, Dr. Al Jalahma thanked everyone who attended and supported the event, stressing the value of ongoing awareness-raising initiatives and the ENT department’s crucial role as a pillar of integrated healthcare services.
The forum offered an important scientific platform to present the most recent methods and approaches in early hearing screening, according to Dr. Mariam Khalil Sahwan, Chairperson of the ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Government Hospitals. She emphasized that because these exams are crucial to helping kids develop natural speech and communication abilities, they have become a crucial component of integrated neonatal healthcare. She reiterated the Government Hospitals Administration’s dedication to broadening the reach of this crucial initiative.
