Manama, February 14 (BNA): Former international cricket player Shahid Afridi was welcomed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Youth Affairs and Humanitarian Work.

Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, were in attendance.

The group examined how cricket has developed in the Kingdom of Bahrain and talked about ways to improve the sport’s global visibility.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad highlighted the need for ongoing efforts to draw in foreign knowledge and influence Bahraini cricket’s future, pointing out that doing so fosters the growth of talent and advances the game.

In addition to praising Shahid Afridi’s contribution to youth motivation, His Highness pointed out that Bahrain is attempting to create an integrated sports environment that draws in professionals and fosters global collaboration.

The gathering also examined Bahraini cricket programs and strategies for the sport’s growth, including chances for collaboration with foreign specialists.

Shahid Afridi and His Highness visited the Victorious Cricket squad, where Afridi received an update on training plans, player development phases, and initiatives to improve performance and create long-lasting teams.

Shahid Afridi, for his part, conveyed gratitude for His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s efforts to advance Bahrain’s sports industry, especially cricket, and his desire to help the sport grow.
