Manama, Sep. 10 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, the vice-president of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), has announced his candidacy to join the Union of the Arab Football Association’s (UAFA) Executive Committee for the 2025–2029 term.

On Sunday, September 14, the UAFA will hold its 28th General Assembly.
The BFA’s determination to increase its visibility on the Arab and global football scene and to use the UAFA to support Arab sports by sharing its knowledge and skills is reflected in this candidacy.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal will take over as UAFA president without opposition, while HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa is running for office to represent Asia on the Executive Committee.
The BFA stated that it has complete faith in HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali’s capacity to significantly influence the UAFA, further the sport’s evolution, and encourage its expansion throughout the Arab world.
