Aug. 26, Ulaanbaatar (BNA): After traveling for twenty-four hours, the Bahraini under-16 basketball team reached Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in time for the FIBA U16 Asia Cup, which will take place from August 31 to September 7. Following their two training sessions upon arrival, they will have more sessions, which will include a friendly match against Mongolia on August 28.

In a group that also includes Lebanon and India, the squad faces the defending champions, Australia, to start the competition. This involvement is a component of the Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Athletics League’s aim to cultivate a new generation of athletes under the direction of coach Rasem Al Marzouqi. The team wants to improve on its recent Gulf and Arab championship victories.
