Dec. 20, Manama (BNA): In the most recent FIBA rankings, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s U16 basketball team moved up 38 spots to 56th overall, 11th in Asia, and 6th among Arab countries.

The ascent comes after placing ninth at the Asian Cup in Mongolia, winning the Gulf Championship in Bahrain, and winning the Arab Championship in Cairo.
The Bahrain Basketball Association’s President, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, noted the team’s competitiveness at the continental and Arab levels and said the accomplishment is a result of careful preparation and investment in young development.
