August 25, Manama (BNA): Youth City 2030’s accomplishments this year were emphasized by Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, who credited His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s support for them. According to her, His Majesty’s visit to the city demonstrated his support for young people as the future’s forerunners and builders of the present.

The Minister went on to say that youth initiatives have been made possible by the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has positioned young people as a key component of Bahrain’s sustainable development.

She also praised the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs. His directives center on giving young people opportunities to explore their talents, develop their skills, and receive high-quality training so they can become an active and creative force in the development of their country.

Over 230 training programs with over 4,400 young people and approximately 6,400 specialized training possibilities were presented throughout this year’s Youth City 2030 season, according to Minister Tawfiqi.

She mentioned that the city supported over 84 youth market projects, 140 initiatives under the “Young Traders” program, 402 young talent development projects, and over 145 partnerships with domestic and foreign organizations. Over 5,000 people attended the event, and 248 volunteers helped make it a success.

The Minister emphasized the importance of strategic partners, such as the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Tamkeen, Al Zayani Investments, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), and Bapco Energies. She pointed out that this cooperative strategy was essential to accomplishing the city’s goals and furthering its mission to empower young people and enhance their potential.

The Minister also praised the young people’s and their families’ enthusiastic involvement, as they seized the city’s chances to develop their abilities and discover their potential, setting them up to become future leaders and contributors to the advancement of the country.
