Manama, Jan. 27 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), attended the University of Technology Bahrain’s (UTB) 21st graduation ceremony.

The event signified the end of the academic program and reflected the university’s standing in higher education as well as its function in training competent national cadres to assist the Kingdom’s sustainable development.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have consistently supported the university and the education sector, according to Hesham Al Rayes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Bahrain of Technology and CEO of GFH Financial Group.
Additionally, he expressed gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad, emphasizing that their support has been crucial to the university’s growth and continuous endeavors to attain academic standards and global competitiveness, preparing national cadres for roles in the region and beyond.
In order to guarantee that graduates have scientific competence and competitive ability that satisfy the changing demands of the labor market, Al Rayes continued, the university continues to invest in expanding its educational system, improving the caliber of its academic programs, and forming strategic local and international partnerships.
Dr. Hassan Ali Al Mulla, President of UTB, emphasized that this number of graduates signifies an advanced stage in the university’s journey and shows its development in academic programs, facilities, and contemporary teaching methods. He pointed out that by bolstering its foreign presence and drawing in students and professionals from all around the world, the institution is gradually advancing toward a global launch.
According to Dr. Al Mulla, the opening of the World Aquatics Centre of Excellence and the university’s student housing has been a significant turning point, drawing international athletes and champions for training and study, elevating the university’s and the Kingdom’s standing as a regional and global hub that blends academic and athletic excellence, and realizing the university’s goal of offering an integrated and all-encompassing educational experience.
The graduates promised to use their knowledge and abilities to serve the country and thanked the university personnel for their mentoring and the Kingdom’s leadership for supporting education. As the ceremony came to an end, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to enhance its academic programs and honored the graduates.
In addition to being recommended as a university in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UTB is accredited both domestically and internationally. Its academic programs have received high ratings from accreditation bodies, demonstrating its dedication to international standards and bolstering its standing as a top educational destination.
