Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): The third iteration of the Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation’s (MKF) Ithra Buds and Ithra Youth programs was successfully wrapped up at the end of spring break in mid-February.
Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation concludes Ithra Buds, Ithra Youth Programmes
This program, which was implemented as part of an integrated framework intended to foster values and leadership abilities from an early age while offering educational and developmental opportunities, builds on the success of the previous season. The programs also emphasize the significance of empowering a generation that is conscious, self-assured, and prepared to assume leadership roles and make significant contributions to community development.
Through engaging, age-appropriate teaching strategies catered to each child’s developmental needs, the Ithra Buds program aims to establish basic values, foster social skills, and boost self-confidence in young learners. The Ithra Youth program, on the other hand, seeks to improve communication, critical thinking, and self-leadership abilities so that participants can voice their opinions, accept responsibility, and positively influence others.
In addition to fostering mental health, emotional intelligence, and critical life skills, both programs include a broad variety of sports and experiential activities that promote discipline, teamwork, and a positive outlook. The programs are intended to promote collaboration and healthy relationships, and they are delivered in a secure and engaging setting. Applied exams at the end of each season gauge impact, highlight learned skills, and improve participants’ preparedness for their future academic and personal endeavors.
One of the most worthwhile long-term investments a society can make is in the potential of its youth, according to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at MKF. She emphasized that the Ithra programs are designed to meet the changing needs of young people and international skills standards, giving them the knowledge and skills they need to become self-sufficient, make wise decisions, and direct their own lives.
Since the Ithra programs provide thorough and sustainable educational content that incorporates national values and Bahraini identity into the curriculum and learning activities, they are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being).
With the active participation of Ithra program trainers, both programs are carried out in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the Capital Governorate, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate, the Al Khalefeyah Library, which is chaired by Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Padel Academy, Professor Aisha Al Sulaiti, an expert in Bahraini cultural heritage programs, and Sporsista.
Through an interactive approach catered to various age groups, this extensive instruction integrates applied learning, national identity, and life skills. The programs address the demands of tomorrow’s society and the requirements of today’s youth by encouraging experiential learning.

Established in 2011, the Al Mabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is a non-profit organization licensed and registered by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development.
