October 19, Manama (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the deputy prime minister, attended the 11th cohort of Bahrain Polytechnic students’ graduation ceremony today at the Bahrain National Theatre on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the crown prince and prime minister.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla confirmed that the Kingdom’s strong belief that funding education is an investment in a future built on creativity and excellence and closely aligned with national development needs is reflected in the ongoing development of the education sector at all levels under the direction of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and under the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
In line with the government’s priorities and the goals of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which places Bahraini citizens at the center of development as its primary driver and ultimate goal, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that developing qualified national capabilities is a crucial pillar in boosting productivity and improving the efficiency of the national economy by preparing a generation with knowledge and innovation capable of contributing to the Kingdom’s progress.
He emphasized the value of Bahrain Polytechnic’s technical and vocational education, which combines academic knowledge with real-world skills to guarantee that educational achievements are in line with the demands of the service and productive sectors. According to him, this helps prepare graduates who are ready to enter the workforce and actively participate in the modernization and growth of the country.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla praised the Polytechnic’s ongoing advancements in academic programs and institutional development, pointing out in particular the second cohort of master’s degree graduates. According to him, this is a step that improves national knowledge in priority specializations that promote economic growth while fortifying the framework of professional development and research.
He also emphasized the Polytechnic’s new strategy for reaching a wider audience by opening new branches in the governorates of the Kingdom, making its educational services more accessible, boosting student enrollment, and equipping the workforce with more specialized skills.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the academic and administrative personnel, the Board members, and Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees, for their contributions to the Polytechnic’s growth.
Along with congratulating the graduates on their accomplishment, he also thanked their parents for their unwavering support and wished them further success in serving their country.
After the ceremony, master’s degree graduates and exceptional undergraduate students received awards from Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla.
In his remarks, Dr. Juma thanked HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for sponsoring the event and thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for being present. He also reaffirmed his commitment to closely monitoring and supporting the Kingdom’s higher education system.
The minister congratulated Bahrain Polytechnic‘s Board of Trustees, academic and administrative personnel, graduates, and their families on this momentous occasion.
