Manama, February 24 (BNA): The Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) said that the “Rayaat” Scholarship Program for the 2026–2027 academic year is now accepting applications. Over the course of ten days, from March 29 to April 7, applications will be accepted.
Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation opens registration for “Rayaat” Scholarship Programme for 2026 – 2027 Academic Year
The program demonstrates the Foundation’s unwavering dedication to developing higher education in Bahrain and enabling the country’s brightest students to pursue academic success at prestigious universities.
In addition to scholarships supported by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, this year’s program offers undergraduate scholarships in collaboration with the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic. The British University of Bahrain, Ahlia University, Bangor University, University of London at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), University of Technology Bahrain (UTB), Euro University of Bahrain, and American University of Bahrain all offer these scholarships.
The initiative also includes the Her Highness Shaikha Moza Bint Hamad Al Khalifa Fund, which will give RCSI-Bahrain access to medical scholarships. An acceptance letter must be included with the application form for those who want to apply to the private universities listed.
The increasing interest in university education among Bahraini youth, according to Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of MKF, demonstrates a deep awareness of how knowledge can influence both individual aspirations and the advancement of the country. She emphasized that graduates of the program have achieved success in a wide range of professional domains, with many going on to hold positions in prestigious public and commercial establishments. Their accomplishments demonstrate the caliber of the program and its continued contribution to the development of capable, forward-thinking leaders for the Kingdom.
In order to serve more beneficiaries and boost funding for education, HH Shaikha Zain bint Khalid has stated her intention to broaden the Foundation’s relationships. She emphasized the Foundation’s dedication to providing students with access to learning and personal growth opportunities that enhance their character, extend their perspectives, and equip them to make valuable contributions to society. Her Highness urged organizations and businesses to support national education projects and make investments in Bahrain’s future generations while also thanking the Foundation’s university partners for their continued support.
The Foundation’s official website invites potential applicants to fill out the registration form. Academic achievement and performance in a systematic evaluation process—which includes doing exceptionally well on a written exam, passing a face-to-face interview, and showcasing significant achievements like volunteer work and community service—will be the basis for selection.
The Rayaat Scholarship Programme was created in 2011 with the goal of providing a thorough and integrated educational pathway that gives students the skills needed by a dynamic and changing labor market. This year, the Foundation will welcome its sixteenth cohort of scholars, having awarded 491 scholarships since its founding.
The program offers a number of supplementary benefits, including as cash incentives and a variety of training possibilities at both public and private sector schools, in addition to making enrollment at Bahrain’s approved colleges easier. Additionally, scholars have access to workshops that help them develop vital life skills, boost their confidence, and ease their transition into academic and professional settings.

The program is in line with the Foundation’s overarching goal of raising a generation that is responsible, knowledgeable, and capable of handling obstacles head-on in order to create a better future.
Established in 2011, the AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation is a non-profit organization licensed and registered by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Social Development. In the end, the Foundation hopes to serve the individual as well as the country by empowering local talent to realize their full potential through learning opportunities that provide them with information, skills, and real-world experience.
