The improvement improves the overall user experience for businesses, investors, and beneficiaries by lowering documentation requirements and speeding up processing in accordance with strict efficiency and transparency criteria. In order to improve data quality and expedite application processing, new features include the requirement that all necessary data be completed before submission, the prevention of duplicate applications, and the automatic deletion of idle requests after three days.

The Ministry of Works’ Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services, Huda Mirza Al Salman, stated that the update demonstrates the ministry’s dedication to developing digital services. According to her, the enhanced service streamlines processes, saves businesses time and effort, promotes the business climate, and enhances the effectiveness and security of the road network.

The update, she continued, will improve implementation quality, increase satisfaction with government services, and strengthen compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The project is a component of a larger initiative to improve other services, promote digital transformation, and increase the efficiency of the government services system.

In order to support better service delivery and digital transformation, the ministry reported that over 1,300 government services have been documented and published, with about 800 undergoing development or re-engineering across various sectors based on input from investors, the national “Tawasul” system, and service quality assessments.
