Manama, Jan. 22 (BNA): The Urban Planning and Development Authority (UPDA) created the Property Merging Service as part of government initiatives to improve service quality and re-engineer processes. As long as all properties are owned by the same person, the service permits the investigation of combining neighboring properties with the same zoning classification in line with the authorized zoning maps.

The service completion period has been shortened from twelve days to four days under the created service. Additionally, fewer approvals are needed to receive the service, which helps to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

According to UPDA CEO Ahmed Abdulaziz Al Khayyat, the service is a component of the authority’s use of cutting-edge digital technologies meant to improve procedural efficiency and speed up transaction completion. In keeping with the goals of the digital transformation, he continued, this helps to increase the effectiveness and caliber of services.

According to Al Khayyat, the service’s debut demonstrates UPDA‘s dedication to improving its offerings in order to save institutions time and effort and improve the efficiency of the work system.

Over 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published as part of continuous government initiatives to build and re-engineer government services. Eight hundred of these services have undergone development and re-engineering procedures at a number of government agencies.

The National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), investor input, and secret shopper reports for assessing government services served as the foundation for these initiatives.

This is in addition to the introduction of service level agreements and instruction manuals, which promote the government’s digital transformation while also increasing procedural efficiency, service quality, and beneficiary experience.
