He clarified that one of the most well-known programs is the Food Aid project, which provides vouchers for essential food products from a commercial outlet to 200 families. Additionally, 600 families receive food vouchers from the Ramadhan Banquets (Family Iftar) project to help with their requirements throughout Holy Month.

He mentioned that the Eid Al Fitr Clothing project aims to make 1,000 kids happy by giving each family a clothing voucher from a store.

He continued by saying that in collaboration with community centers to set up Iftar tables, the Directorate also carried out the Iftar Sa’em initiative (for expatriate communities), which benefits 2,000 fasting people every day.

Shaikh Dr. Al Hajri also mentioned the “Maa’ Sabeel” project, which entails distributing over 40,000 cartons, or one million water bottles, to mosques throughout the Kingdom during Ramadan.

In order to promote integration and community engagement, he emphasized the community partnership project with charity societies, which included funding for ten charitable organizations to assist their Ramadan efforts and broaden philanthropic endeavors.

The chairman emphasized that these initiatives are the result of the Council’s desire to satisfy endowment donors’ requirements and distribute funds in accordance with Sharia law and the donors’ demands. By directing donations to their appropriate channels, this strengthens endowments’ social solidarity role and fosters a giving culture throughout Holy Month.
