Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has introduced the second version of the “Taa’kud” service, which adds a new function that allows users to check property prices, as part of government efforts to improve service quality and re-engineer public services. The inclusion seeks to improve openness and offer trustworthy data to aid in real estate decision-making.

SLRB launches second version of Taa’kud service

Beneficiaries can use the tool to find average property values in the block where a property is located by providing the property number or the block number. Based on precise and trustworthy data, price indicators for the previous three years are shown, allowing users to monitor real estate market trends and determine a property’s true value based on sales of similar homes in the same neighborhood.

According to SLRB President Basem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, the functionality adds value to the service’s outputs because it is automatically updated and depends on real estate transaction data. He emphasized that the given indications are meant to serve as a guide and show how the market has moved during the designated time periods.

He continued by saying that the service provides price indications for a range of real estate kinds, such as homes, apartments, land, and others, providing users with a thorough analytical perspective that facilitates a deeper comprehension of market dynamics and permits well-informed judgments based on trustworthy data.

Al Hamar stated that because the “Taa’kud” service can instantly verify a property’s status and affirm that it is free from constraints that would prohibit its disposal, beneficiaries continue to seek it. According to him, more than 30,000 people have used the service since it launched in February of last year and as of the end of January 2026.

He added that in July 2025, the service won first place in the Bahrain Digital Content Award 2025 in the Smart Settlements and Urban Expansion category, marking a significant milestone. This illustrates the caliber of the service and its beneficial influence on the growth of the ecosystem for digital services. He went on to say that the second version’s release coincides with the use of cutting-edge digital solutions meant to increase the amount of data accessible to beneficiaries, facilitate better access to real estate data, boost procedural effectiveness, and increase market transparency.

Additionally, the President of the SLRB confirmed that development initiatives are still in progress, demonstrating the Bureau’s dedication to staying up to date with the government’s direction in order to enhance the effectiveness and caliber of all public services and to enable smooth processes and service delivery. These initiatives are carried out in accordance with the government performance and digital transformation pillar and within the context of the Government Program 2023–2026.

Over 1,300 government services have been published, translated, and documented as part of continuous government efforts to create and re-engineer public services. Of these, 800 services have been developed and re-engineered in a variety of industries based on investor input, secret shopper evaluation reports, and recommendations and feedback obtained through the national suggestions and complaints system “Tawasul.” In order to boost the beneficiary experience, increase service quality, streamline procedures, and promote the government’s digital transformation plan, guidance manuals and service level agreements have also been introduced.
