Dec. 29, Manama (BNA): Twelve ideas in all have made it to the seventh Government Innovation Competition (Fikra).
12 concepts qualify for the final stage of Fikra
Fikra seeks to promote the growth of the Kingdom by encouraging innovation and creativity within the public sector. Fikra helps Bahrain’s people and inhabitants achieve their goals by bolstering government workstreams and enhancing the caliber and effectiveness of government services.
Participants presented their ideas to four committees comprised of experts and professionals, and a total of forty creative proposals were thoroughly assessed. Teams were randomly assigned to committees, and each team was given three minutes to present their idea. The presentations were then evaluated based on predetermined standards.
Twelve proposals were then chosen by the committees for the Fikra competition’s final round. The ideas that were chosen were:
1. The Ministry of Finance and National Economy’s Ahmed Ridha Sanad, Ali Khalil Ebrahim Fadhul, and Abdulla Ali Sultan Alshamlan’s Savings and Investment Program.
2. Ahmed Saleh Mejairan of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) wrote Ata’a, The National Giving Platform.
3. Bassam Mohammed Alshuwaikh of the Supreme Council for the Environment wrote Floating Oases.
4. Jalal Jaafar Maki, the Ministry of Legal Affairs’ Smart Employment Advisor.
5. Salamah Hashel Zayed Alkobaisi of the Ministry of Finance and National Economy wrote Rahma.
6. Takamul by Alaa Ahmed Albalooshi and Captain Abdulla Waheed Almannaei of the Ministry of Interior.
7. The Ministry of Education’s Abdulla Mohamed Abdulla Badow improved the curriculum for secondary education.
8. Tameni from Government Hospitals by Ali Husain Darwish, Maha Majeed Almaarej, Narjes Yusuf Sabt, and Fatema Ateya Alaradi.
9. Mohamed Ebrahim Alhasan, Asma Naser Almosawi, and Noof Ali Fakhro if the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA) created the Annual Leaves Exchange Platform.
10. Manal Ali Alhashemi of the National Communication Center wrote Wasalt.
11. Tawazun by Maha Bader Abdulla Bader Alsada, Nayla Musaad Matar from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Ahmed Hasan Abdulrahman Bucheeri from the Social Insurance Organization.
12. Walaa A. Hadi Ahmed Albaqali of Government Hospitals wrote MindForward.
The qualifying teams will present their ideas to a jury of ministers in the competition’s final round. The jury will select the best idea and declare the “Public Vote” winner.
