Manama, February 24 (BNA): As part of the Ministry’s strategic plan to turn police stations into integrated service centers, strengthening community partnerships and keeping up with technological advancements in security work, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa officially opened the new Um Al Hassam Police Station.

In attendance were Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, the deputy minister of interior; and Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al Hassan, the chief of police.

With state-of-the-art security measures and equipment to guarantee smooth transactions and top-notch services, the station has been planned and furnished as a comprehensive service center for citizens and residents.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has shown interest in adopting the Ministry’s initiatives and projects to strengthen readiness and develop human and technical capabilities for maintaining security and public order and providing modern security services. The minister praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives and support for the development and modernization of the Ministry of Interior.

Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah emphasized that growth, wealth, and safeguarding national accomplishments all depend on security. He emphasized the function of police directorates in delivering services and forming relationships with the community, pointing out that capital stations like Um Al Hassam Police Station are essential in serving citizens, locals, tourist destinations, and establishments, necessitating effective operations.

The station’s cutting-edge security services were explained to the minister. 5,089 reports were received by the station in 2025. It has a fleet of smart security patrols with cutting-edge technology to guarantee quick response and prompt handling of reports, enhancing readiness and response capability, as well as a self-service system that allows multiple services to be completed electronically, supporting efficiency and expansion of smart services.

In addition to reviewing operational systems and procedures and inspecting the station’s facilities, including the vehicle area, Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah emphasized the significance of sustained effort, dedication, and prompt reaction to guarantee security and public safety for all citizens and residents.
