Stakeholders from the public and business sectors came together for the workshop in order to create a common vision, suggest workable solutions, and guarantee group dedication to the necessary implementation stages in order to further the Kingdom’s ambitious national marine plan.

In accordance with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, the Minister confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is making confident progress toward creating an integrated maritime system that keeps up with developments around the world and enhances the Kingdom’s standing as a crucial regional hub for trade and logistics.

By building ports and logistics infrastructure, luring strategic investments, and implementing intelligent digital solutions for supply chains and marine trade, the National marine Strategy aims to turn the industry into a major force behind national growth. In addition to emphasizing sustainability through the use of best environmental practices and the utilization of technology innovation in automation and AI-driven planning, the strategy is implemented through tight collaboration between public and private parties.

The workshop concentrated on six key pillars that together provide a thorough foundation for growth and change in the direction of an integrated maritime system. In order to ensure the continued growth and sustainability of Bahrain’s maritime sector, these include developing facilities specifically for cruise ships, improving and expanding key corridors connecting Bahrain with the larger Gulf region, upgrading maritime infrastructure to meet commercial demands, and getting ready for the integration of the future railway network. Additionally, steps are being taken to strengthen governance, finance frameworks, and human capital development.
