October 14, Manama (BNA): The Public Prosecution announced the Ministry of Youth Affairs’ involvement as one of the initiative’s partners in carrying out its programs, as part of a nationwide effort to fortify the social protection system and assist the target groups of the Public Prosecution’s Social Care Initiative “Riaya.”
Ministry of Youth Affairs joins the Public Prosecution’s Social Care Initiative ‘’Riaya’’ as a Partner
Through this agreement, the initiative’s services will be expanded, national institutions’ roles in supporting women, children, and families will be better integrated, and adolescents will be empowered within a holistic approach to community care.
Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain emphasized that the Public Prosecution’s 2021 “Riaya” initiative, which offers holistic care that extends beyond the legal framework to include psychological and social support through a network of partners from official and civil institutions, embodies the Public Prosecution’s comprehensive humanitarian approach in handling cases involving women, children, and families.
According to young Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, the ministry hopes to maximize young potential through this collaboration and coordinate efforts to promote principles of giving and social responsibility, which have a good effect on the stability of the family and the empowerment of its members.
In this context, Fatima Jassim Al Koheji, Advisor to the “Riaya” Initiative and Head of the Public Prosecutions, and Shaikha Abdulla Butti, Director of Youth Empowerment at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, attended a meeting at the Public Prosecution‘s building with a number of representatives from both organizations. The meeting’s main objectives were to coordinate cooperative efforts and strategies for utilizing the ministry’s programs to further the initiative’s objectives.
