Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Manama won the title of World’s Leading Business Travel Destination at the esteemed World Travel Awards Grand Final 2025, which took place at Exhibition World Bahrain. Three hundred prominent members of the tourism industry from both inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain attended, making it one of the most varied editions in the awards’ history. There were 120 winners in all, 10 from Bahrain and 110 from other countries.

World of Exhibitions In keeping with the 2022–2026 Tourism Strategy, Bahrain successfully consolidated its role in drawing significant international events, as evidenced by its four awards during the ceremony. It was named the Best Convention Center in Bahrain, the Best MICE Event Venue in the Middle East, and the World’s Leading Large-Scale Wedding Venue and World’s Leading MICE Event Venue. In appreciation of its crucial role in improving the Kingdom’s air connectivity, Gulf Air, the national carrier, was also given an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Airline Industry.
Charthouse Bahrain was named the World’s Leading Boutique Hotel; Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa was named the World’s Leading City Resort; Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay was named the World’s Leading Family Hotel; the Royal Penthouse at Conrad Bahrain was named the World’s Leading Hotel Penthouse; Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort and Spa was named the World’s Leading Luxury Island Resort; Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain was named the World’s Leading Palace Hotel.
The event is being held in the Kingdom as a consequence of efforts since the 2022–2026 Tourism Strategy was introduced, according to Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA). She pointed out that Manama’s designation as the World’s Leading Business Travel Destination is a reflection of BTEA’s efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s position in the MICE sector and that these accomplishments show how strong Bahrain’s tourism ecosystem is when working with its partners.
She also emphasized the significance of holding the event and taking home this many honors in order to showcase the growth of the Kingdom’s tourism and business travel industries and to introduce tourists from all over the world to Bahrain’s tourism attractions, such as heritage, hospitality, and cutting-edge infrastructure.
