Nov. 10, Manama (BNA): The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) declared that 1,927 inspection campaigns and visits will be conducted between November 2 and 8. As a consequence, 52 offenders were deported and 17 irregular and breaching workers were detained.

A number of infractions pertaining to the provisions of various regulatory laws, including the LMRA and the Kingdom’s Residency Laws, were also seen as a result of the inspection campaigns and visits, and it was noted that legal action was taken in response to these infractions.
In addition to 28 joint inspection campaigns, 14 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, 5 campaigns in the Muharraq Governorate, 3 campaigns in the Northern Governorate, and 6 campaigns in the Southern Governorate, the LMRA reported that 1,899 inspection visits were conducted on various shops across all governorates.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Science, the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) of the Ministry of Interior, and the Social Insurance Organization (SIO) are among the government agencies that took part in the campaigns.
In order to strengthen inspection campaigns in every governorate of the Kingdom and to deal with any infractions or practices that compromise the stability and competitiveness of the labor market or jeopardize the Kingdom’s economic and social security, the LMRA confirmed the continuation of cooperative coordination with government agencies.
