A number of infractions pertaining to the provisions of various regulations, particularly the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, were also observed as a result of the inspection campaigns and visits, and it was noted that legal action was taken in response to the infractions.

In addition to 28 joint inspection campaigns, 15 campaigns in the Capital Governorate, 6 campaigns in the Muharraq Governorate, 2 campaigns in the Northern Governorate, and 5 campaigns in the Southern Governorate, the Authority noted that 1,872 inspection visits were conducted on various shops across all governorates.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority, the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Science, the Governorate’s corresponding Police Directorate, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA), and the Social Insurance Organization were among the government organizations that took part in the campaigns.

In order to strengthen inspection campaigns in every governorate of the Kingdom and to deal with any infractions or practices that compromise the stability and competitiveness of the labor market or jeopardize the Kingdom’s economic and social security, the Authority affirmed the continuation of cooperative coordination with government agencies.

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority reiterated its appeal to all members of the public to assist government agencies in combating unlawful labor practices by reporting infractions through the government’s Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), the authority’s call center at 17506055, or the electronic form on the authority’s website, www.lmra.gov.bh.
