Legal actions were taken in response to the observed violations of various regulating laws, particularly the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and the Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which were discovered as a result of the inspection campaigns and visits.

In addition to 14 joint inspection campaigns—five in the Capital Governorate, two in the Muharraq Governorate, four in the Northern Governorate, and three in the Southern Governorate—the Authority noted that 1,303 inspection visits were conducted on various shops across all governorates.

The Ministry of Interior, through the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) division, the General Directorate of Traffic and the corresponding Police Directorate of the Governorate, the Social Insurance Organization, and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications are the government agencies that took part in the campaigns.

The Authority reaffirmed the continuation of cooperative coordination with government agencies to step up inspection campaigns in all of the Kingdom’s governorates and to deal with any infractions or practices that jeopardize the Kingdom’s economic and social security or the stability and competitiveness of the labor market.

By reporting infractions using the electronic form on the authority’s website, www.lmra.gov.bh, by calling the authority’s call center at 17506055, or through the government’s Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), the Labour Market Regulatory Authority reaffirmed its call for all members of society to assist government agencies in combating illegal labor practices.
