Dec. 11, Manama (BNA): Attending the “Gulf Aware Leaders – Wellbeing and Leadership” program’s closing ceremony, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, noted that it offers a special platform for youth to develop leadership and developmental skills and opens up more opportunities for interaction and experience exchange among young people from various GCC states.

Minister Tawfiqi emphasized that these programs foster a sense of cooperation among young people in the region and strengthen a common Gulf identity. In accordance with the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) leaders’ directives, which continuously promote enhancing youth capabilities and supporting their progress to play an active role in development and prosperity, she also emphasized the significance of collaborative Gulf youth initiatives in fostering cooperation and solidarity among the youth of the GCC states.
In order to provide a comprehensive experience that develops youth skills, enriches their cultural and social knowledge, and enhances their capacity for innovation and community leadership, she explained, the ministry made sure the program was carried out creatively and qualitatively, integrating training and skill development with recreational activities and visits to important sites in the Kingdom.
In order to continue and expand efforts to empower young to play a crucial role in development and prosperity, the minister emphasized that the success of this program and other youth initiatives is an important step in supporting youth projects and initiatives across the GCC.
She went on to say that she hopes the program’s workshops and training activities will help young people develop their skills and strengthen their abilities, which will enhance their positive participation in social development and active contribution to community service. She also noted that the experience gave participants the chance to develop leadership skills and foster innovation and initiative, preparing a generation capable of effectively contributing to development and prosperity in the GCC states.
During the program’s closing ceremony, participating delegations gave speeches emphasizing the program’s significance in helping young people develop their social, personal, and leadership qualities. In an environment that reflected Gulf cooperation and collaborative youth involvement, the celebration also highlighted program outcomes and honored participants and contributors.
