Municipalities Ministry launches digital address card service via “Benayat”

The program attempts to streamline processes, expedite processing, and support the government’s digital transformation objective by connecting the address card to the construction permit. The five-day processing period has been shortened to three working days.

The technology connects with government services, including the Population Registry and National Geographic Maps, to enable automatic data verification. It eliminates the need for in-person attendance by enabling users to issue, modify, or cancel address cards and print the address certificate right away after completing electronic payment via a single, unified pricing mechanism.

The service is a component of the ongoing development of the “Benayat” system, which uses integrated digital solutions to streamline processes, increase user experience, and boost efficiency throughout the construction and urban planning industries.

Notably, over 1,300 government services have been documented and published, and about 800 services are being developed and re-engineered in a variety of sectors. These efforts have improved service quality, increased procedural efficiency, and advanced the digital transformation of government.
