Nov. 5, Manama (BNA): Senior participants in the King Hamad Forum for Justice, which was organized by the Kingdom of Bahrain under His Majesty’s patronage, were welcomed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Al Sakhir Palace.

His Majesty the King greeted the Kingdom’s visitors and conveyed gratitude for their attendance and involvement in this significant occasion.

On the occasion of the King Hamad Forum for Justice, it is a great pleasure to welcome this esteemed international assembly of trailblazers in the realms of legal and judicial thought. The goals of this forum are in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s aspirations and its continuous efforts to preserve the values of truth, justice, and freedom in our world—values of humanity that we consider to be the core of our beliefs and endeavors, with the goal of fostering brotherhood and coexistence among all peoples on the planet.
We would like to use this occasion to celebrate the opening of the “Bahrain International Commercial Court,” which we see as a significant milestone in the evolution of our legal system. This endeavor is a reflection of our country’s unwavering commitment to solidifying its position as a global center for settling cross-border commercial disputes, as well as its belief in the value of transparency and creating bridges of cooperation.
We are certain that this specialized court, which serves as an efficient means of settling business disputes, will fully support the international business community by providing a judiciary that speaks the parties’ language, comprehends their needs, and strives to uphold independent and impartial justice while reinforcing the rule of law. By doing this, it will enhance the stability and prosperity of global trade as well as help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Because, in our opinion, legal security protects the rights, liberties, and interests of both individuals and institutions, allowing contemporary markets to flourish with assurance and sustainability.
This time, we also applaud the productive collaboration with the Republic of Singapore, a friendly country and a leader in cutting-edge international commercial courts. The “Bahrain International Commercial Court” was established via the exchange of skills based on its distinguished experience.
Without a doubt, this cooperation demonstrates the strength of the two nations’ bilateral ties and is a result of Bahrain’s strong desire to gain from successful experiences that boost its competitiveness internationally while remaining consistent with its national vision and cultural identity.
Finally, we would like to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped establish this court, reiterating Bahrain’s commitment to comprehensive development in line with modern demands and bolstering its position as a global hub for upholding justice and the rule of law.
