Manama, Oct. 31 (BNA): On the fringes of the 21st IISS Manama Dialogue 2025, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, met with Brigadier General Ahmad Al Hajjar, Minister of Interior and Municipalities of the Republic of Lebanon.

The minister applauded his Lebanese counterpart’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the international conference, which demonstrates Bahrain’s active participation in and dedication to advancing global security and stability under the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah emphasized the significance of the strategic topics covered at the IISS Manama Dialogue, pointing out that these forums strengthen collaboration and coordination to tackle global difficulties. He emphasized Bahrain’s proactive role in advancing regional and global peace and security by encouraging communication and the sharing of knowledge and ideas among decision-makers.

The National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna), which attempts to strengthen national identity and unity through efficient and community-based mechanisms, was one of the community security initiatives that the minister examined.

Additionally, he emphasized the Open Prisons and Alternative Sentencing programs and how they help Bahrain’s criminal justice system. In keeping with the tenets of His Majesty’s all-encompassing development strategy, he pointed out that both programs were motivated by the Royal Vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and mark an important turning point in the Kingdom’s advancement of human rights.

The discussion covered changes in regional and global security as well as ways to improve coordination and collaboration. General Shaikh Rashid emphasized the long-standing ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Lebanon, as well as their shared dedication to enhancing collaboration in order to protect national accomplishments and bolster regional stability.
