Nov. 2, Manama (BNA): The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) was visited today by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defense Affairs; Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF; and other senior commanders welcomed His Majesty upon arrival.

His Majesty received a briefing on the BDF’s future development plans for all of its branches and units during the visit. His Majesty conveyed his gratitude and pride in the BDF’s personnel, commending their commitment, loyalty, and admirable national service, which they carry out bravely and resolutely for the good of the Kingdom and its people.

HM the King reaffirmed the need of maintaining international harmony and preventing escalation, pointing out that this is still the ultimate objective and the best way to achieve prosperity and security. His Majesty emphasized how crucial it is to back initiatives that advance collaboration and peace in a way that advances wealth, stability, and development for both the local area and the larger global community.

His Majesty further praised the BDF members’ exceptional performance in military training both domestically and overseas, highlighting their exceptional talent and dedication to perfection. His Majesty also emphasized the Kingdom’s well-run courses, which are taught by senior BDF officials and attended by their international counterparts.

HM the King asked senior officers to send his regards to every member of the Bahrain Defence Force, regardless of where they are assigned.
