Nov. 19, Manama (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, was presented to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The first full satellite image of the Kingdom of Bahrain taken by the Bahraini satellite “Al Munther” was a commemorative gift given to His Majesty by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad during the meeting.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, Chairman of the BSA, and a number of officials informed His Majesty on the status of the “Al Munther” satellite project.
They described the functions of the ground station, the capabilities of the satellite, and the procedures the Agency uses to analyze space-derived data and satellite imagery.
His Majesty conveyed gratitude for His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s efforts to further the BSA’s mission and assist it in accomplishing its goals.
His Majesty praised the Agency’s Board of Directors for monitoring the Agency’s strategic plans and the execution of the National Space Policy. Additionally, His Majesty wished the national specialists in charge of the Agency ongoing success and praised their commitment.
