Dec. 7, Manama (BNA): 14 new eServices have been added to the MyGov app, which is accessible via the eGovernment App Store at bahrain.bh/apps, according to the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). Since the app’s February 2025 launch, 111 eServices and features have been made available.
iGA adds 14 new eServices added to “MyGov app”
The update, according to Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, Deputy Chief Executive of Electronic Transformation at the iGA, builds on the organization’s ongoing efforts to improve the MyGov app and broaden its offerings in an effort to solidify its position as a national digital platform that enhances the National Portal bahrain.bh and gives citizens and residents easy access to a variety of government services in one location.
The Personal Bill Payment service, which was launched in collaboration with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), is one of the new features. It enables users to finish payments in a single step even if they have several accounts.
A number of additional features were added, such as the “Fael Khier” service in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, to further promote humanitarian and charity endeavors. Along with the locations of mosques and Ramadan majlis, prayer times, Qibla direction, daily moon phases, and Gregorian and Hijri calendars, the app now allows users to pay zakat and donations. The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments collaborated with the introduction of these revisions.
Janahi emphasized that users can now alter their email address and mobile number immediately through their MyGov app profile thanks to a partnership with the Ministry of Interior’s General Directorate of Traffic.
The app enables users to view their vaccination records, report missing vaccination records, download vaccination documents in partnership with Primary Healthcare Centers, and view athletes’ health certificates in partnership with government hospitals in an effort to increase accessibility to digital health services. The platform already offers a plethora of additional capabilities in addition to these upgrades.
MyGov has been downloaded over 640,000 times from its inception in February 2025 and up until October of the same year. This indicates a high level of public participation and an increasing dependence on the platform for completing government transactions.
Residents and citizens can use the National comments & Complaints System (Tawasul) to submit questions, comments, and feedback, or they can call the Government Services Contact Center at 80008001 to learn more about the new features and services.
