Director- General of Verdict Enforcement: Settlement of 1,631 financial cases worth over BD 3.5 million
Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid emphasized that His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, offers robust and continuous support to fortify policies focused on empowering people and defending their rights, as well as creating initiatives that advance social justice. The attention of Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, who backs humanitarian efforts to improve societal stability and national cohesion, particularly through the “Fael Khair” program, which helps those with unpaid loans, supports this strategy as well.
The Director-General stated that the General Directorate is carrying out plans for complete digital transformation to improve responsiveness and service efficiency in order to develop the initiative and maximize its humanitarian impact in accordance with best practices. One of these goals is to develop an application for the “Fael Khair” program that would allow supporters to immediately, safely, and transparently offer assistance to people who have overdue loans.
The next stage, according to Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid, would increase efforts to address the circumstances of people who have unpaid debts by offering appropriate job possibilities in collaboration with pertinent organizations, assisting them in meeting their needs and achieving family stability. He mentioned plans to create early-intervention mechanisms as part of a preventive strategy by looking into settlement options and rearranging financial circumstances in collaboration with the banking industry, keeping people from going into total default and enhancing their chances of long-term financial recovery.
The Director-General confirmed that the “Fael Khair” project has developed into a cutting-edge humanitarian model with outstanding outcomes that surpassed expectations. 817 people were the beneficiaries, and 1,631 financial cases totaling 3,620,774 Bahraini dinars were resolved. Along with contributions from donors who covered more than 200 financial cases and contributed more than 600,000 Bahraini dinars to support eligible persons, the effort also succeeded in forming fruitful collaborations with other organizations and businesses.
Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid expressed gratitude to all of the donors and contributors whose kindness made these outcomes possible, stressing that their spirit of solidarity embodies the fundamental humanitarian and social ideals that set the Kingdom apart. Additionally, he praised the efforts of social media content producers, whose participation and promotion of the program were crucial in increasing awareness and expanding its audience.
The Director-General stated that Bahrain’s dedication to upholding human rights and helping those in need is continuous and not day-specific, reflecting a long-standing strategy based on the country’s ideals of kindness and compassion. The beneficial outcomes of the “Fael Khair” initiative, he continued, demonstrate the idea that humanitarian efforts are crucial to creating a unified society founded on justice and solidarity.
