Manama, Jan. 4 (BNA): Members of the security teams from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science who were successful in identifying the circumstances of security cases and apprehending the suspects were honored by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Interior Minister honours Criminal Investigation teams
Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Police, were in attendance.
Two Chinese nationals were detained at the airport in relation to the theft of gold jewelry worth about BD 50,000 from a residence; two suspects were detained for attempting to blow up an ATM at a national bank and starting a fire; and two Asians were detained in connection with the murder of another individual.
The minister praised the honored officers’ and non-commissioned officers’ high degree of professionalism and readiness, as well as their bravery and prompt handling of emergencies and security issues in a way that protects public safety and security. He emphasized that in order to help prevent crime, security activities must include raising security awareness in addition to apprehending criminals.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah expressed gratitude to the police officers for their commitment, devotion, and the sacrifices they made to uphold public safety and security. Additionally, he praised their professionalism and correctness, which enhance the services offered to residents and citizens and help ensure that they are delivered with the necessary speed, accuracy, and efficiency. He hoped they would continue to be successful in their work.
