Manama, Mar. 23 (BNA): The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, presided over an emergency Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace today.

The Cabinet emphasized the significance of upholding United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which vehemently denounces and demands an immediate end to all Iranian attacks on the Arabian Gulf states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, while reiterating its condemnation of the hostile Iranian aggressions during the meeting. The resolution also upholds the GCC members’ and Jordan’s inherent right to protect their territories by calling for an immediate and unconditional end to any provocation or danger to neighboring countries.
The Cabinet expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the National Guard, and the military, security, and civil authorities for their efforts, high level of preparedness, and effectiveness in handling developments that are crucial to protecting the Kingdom and maintaining its security and stability.
The Cabinet also praised Team Bahrain’s national workforce in a number of areas for their committed work serving the Kingdom and effectively and professionally handling a variety of problems.
Then, under the direction of His Majesty the King, the Cabinet conveyed its pride and gratitude for the unity and solidarity shown by the populace.
The Cabinet praised the results of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s meeting with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, emphasizing the significance of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit in strengthening the long-standing ties and cooperative efforts between Bahrain and Jordan.
The Cabinet also applauded the results of HM the King’s meeting with HE Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, highlighting the importance of His Excellency’s visit in fortifying the two nations’ long-standing ties and boosting collaboration and cooperative efforts.
The Cabinet emphasized the significance of these ties in light of recent events and conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to GCC governments and allies for their cooperation during this period. Additionally, the Cabinet praised their worldwide diplomatic participation and solidarity in supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain against hostile Iranian action, which is against international law.
