A number of authorities, institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and other interested parties attended the event, which included discussion sessions on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Governor thanked His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for starting the event and emphasized the importance of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s unwavering support for Arab and Bahraini youth in promoting an entrepreneurial culture.

Shaikh Khalid bin Humood reaffirmed the Capital Governorate’s dedication to carrying out excellent programs that support the innovation environment, encourage entrepreneurship, and empower young people. He pointed out that Manama’s supportive regulatory framework and successful collaborations with many industries have allowed it to develop into a hub for innovative ideas and promising projects.

There were two discourse sessions on the first day. Dr. Thabet Al Nabulsi gave a keynote speech at the first session, which was followed by a panel discussion with business owners.

Dr. Khalid Al Hanafi, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, moderated the second session, “Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship,” in which the CEOs of Ila Bank, Waves, Unipal, and other entrepreneurs took part.

The Governor recognized the panelists and supporting organizations, as well as Kuwait Finance House and GFH Financial Group, the event’s primary sponsors, for their essential contributions to this innovative endeavor.

Through a series of seminars and workshops organized in partnership with academic institutions, incubators, and professional associations, the event lasts for an entire week. It is intended to develop young entrepreneurs’ abilities, boost their potential for innovation, and deepen their knowledge in a nurturing setting.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s (UNIDO) approval of Manama as the Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs 2026 marks a significant turning point in Bahrain’s efforts to maintain its position as a leader in fostering innovation and empowering young people.
