Manama, March 30 (BNA): According to the Ministry of Interior, three individuals have been detained by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science for creating a terrorist cell connected to the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Three arrested for forming terrorist cell linked to Lebanese Hezbollah terrorist group
In order to compromise state sovereignty, instill fear and panic among people and residents, and jeopardize national security and safety, the suspects collaborated with terrorist elements overseas and attempted to conduct espionage with them.
The people detained are:
24-year-old Ahmed Ahmed Hussain Madan
22-year-old Hassan Abdulameer Ashoor
29-year-old Muntadhar Abdulmohsen Ali Madan
According to the arrestees’ testimonies, they met with members of the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon and then underwent weapons training while in Lebanon. In preparation for being assigned by its leaders to carry out terrorist plots and acts in Bahrain, they also sent pictures and information about the consequences of the Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain and gathered money under the pretense of charitable work, transferring it to support Hezbollah’s operations.
According to the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, the arrestees have been referred to the Public Prosecution after the required legal procedures have been fulfilled.
