Manama, Oct. 22 (BNA): The signing of an agreement to expedite certification of origin procedures for industrial exports from the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was witnessed by Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce.

The signing occurred as part of Phase Two of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council’s In-Country Value Certificate (Takamul) initiative. The ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, also attended the ceremony.
Al Bader bin Adel Fouda, Acting Undersecretary of Development and Supervisor of the Empowerment Agency at the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, signed the deal on behalf of Saudi Arabia, while Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, represented Bahrain.
As a strategic step toward further Gulf economic and industrial integration, the agreement seeks to improve the seamless movement of domestic commodities between the two kingdoms. Additionally, it aims to speed the flow of commodities between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, lower operating costs for importers and exporters, and streamline customs procedures.
Under the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister Fakhro emphasized the two kingdoms’ longstanding ties and their shared commitment to enhancing them in a number of areas, especially the industrial and economic ones.
He emphasized the function of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which is co-chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting cross-sectoral cooperation and creating an atmosphere that is conducive to investment opportunities that promote development and prosperity in both kingdoms.
The Saudi delegation also visited the ministry’s service facilities, such as the Metal Assay Center and the Saudi Investor Center, escorted by the Minister of Industry and Commerce.
