Bahraini economy achieves real growth of 2.5% in second quarter of 2025

The data that was made public indicates that, in comparison to the same period last year, non-oil GDP increased by 3.5% at constant prices and 5.3% at current prices during the second quarter of 2025. This is a reflection of ongoing national initiatives to increase the economic contribution of non-oil sectors and diversify revenue streams.

In contrast, the drop in global oil prices and decreased production volumes resulted in a 2.6% dip in oil GDP at constant prices and a 14.2% decline at current prices.

The majority of economic activities saw positive growth rates; the largest rise was recorded by professional, scientific, and technical activities (12%), followed by wholesale and retail trade (6.7%), and real estate (4.7%) at constant prices.

The highest growth rate at current prices was again reported by professional, scientific, and technical activities (12.7%), followed by information and communication activities (10.9%), and lodging and food services (10.4%).
