The forum saw record attendance, sponsorships, and collaborations this year, making it its most successful edition to date. Growing investor trust in Bahrain’s vibrant fintech ecosystem is reflected in the thirty-eight agreements and memorandums of understanding that were inked in the fintech, digital infrastructure, and financial services sectors.
Bahrain’s standing as a major regional center for financial innovation keeps growing. Around 2,000 people attended the event, with a large international representation from the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Among the highlights was the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), Bahrain FinTech Bay, BisB, BBK, and BENEFIT working together to successfully prototype a new Google Cloud payments infrastructure. The effort marks a significant step towards a better, faster, and more connected financial future by introducing rapid digital payments between institutions via Google Cloud’s Universal Ledger technology.
