BSA, BUB sign MoU to develop national expertise in space sciences

Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, President of the BUB, and Dr. Mohammed Al Aseeri, Chief Executive Officer of the BSA, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement lays forth a framework for collaboration in the sharing of knowledge and skills, collaborative technical and scientific research, and the offering of specialized training opportunities. In order to improve students’ academic and practical skills, workshops and awareness campaigns are also organized.

Joint community awareness campaigns and educational field trips are also covered by the MoU, giving students firsthand knowledge of the space industry and enhancing the connection between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

The agreement, according to Dr. Al Aseeri, demonstrates the Agency’s dedication to enhancing collaboration with academic institutions and developing national capabilities in space sciences and applications. He said he hoped the partnership would grow to encompass cooperative space-related projects that boost creativity and inspire young Bahrainis to start their own businesses.

The arrangement, according to Dr. Janahi, will encourage students’ interest in space sciences, which she described as crucial for both academic and professional growth. According to him, the MoU intends to improve students’ preparedness in space-related and related scientific fields and offer worthwhile training possibilities.

In keeping with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s vision for a knowledge-based and technologically advanced economy, the partnership is a component of the Bahrain Space Agency’s continuous efforts to fortify collaboration with regional academic institutions, encourage youth involvement in scientific fields, and support emerging sectors.
