The ministry’s Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post Affairs, Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, confirmed that the service is a component of continuous initiatives to boost operational effectiveness and raise postal service quality in accordance with consumer expectations. She emphasized the ministry’s dedication to providing services that are suited to the needs of both individuals and businesses by pointing out that the service provides flexible and useful options for parcel collecting.
According to Al Dhaen, the electronic lockers give consumers a safe and convenient way to receive packages without having to go to post offices or adhere to set hours. Consumers are given a code and the location of their locker, and they can choose to give someone else permission to use the code to pick up the package.
The lockers have been placed in strategic areas, such as large shopping malls, allowing clients to pick up their packages whenever it is convenient for them, outside of regular business hours, with secure storage guaranteed until they are picked up.
With more expansion expected in the near future, the electronic lockers are currently accessible in Seef Mall (Seef District), Seef Mall (Muharraq), Seef Mall (Isa Town), Marassi Galleria, The Avenues, Souq Al Baraha, Dragon City, and Saar Mall. The lockers are available to patrons during each facility’s regular business hours.
In order to accomplish its strategic goals, the ministry reaffirmed its dedication to developing a cutting-edge, integrated postal system that improves operational effectiveness and service quality, establishing Bahrain as a major regional center for postal and logistics services, and encouraging innovation and future readiness.
