BTEA CEO Sara Ahmed Buhiji was present during the meeting.
In order to increase tourism’s contribution to the national economy, improve Bahrain’s standing as a global travel destination, broaden target markets, and diversify the visitor experience, the Board examined the performance of the country’s tourism industry for the third quarter of 2025 and assessed advancements in relation to the Tourism Strategy 2022–2026.
The GCC states, India, the UK, Germany, China, and the newly added French market—which was determined by recent data analysis to be a high-potential source of tourists—were among the six priority markets for which marketing strategies were addressed at the meeting.
The Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre and Vatel Bahrain Hospitality College provided updates during the meeting, which also featured presentations from the BETA’s many divisions. Preparations for Bahrain’s 2025 holiday season and future efforts, such as the “Brightened by Your Presence” campaign started for Saudi National Day, were also covered by the Board.
