September 12, Manama (BNA): The Kingadom of Bahrain’s healthcare system is still developing under the direction of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and in accordance with the orders of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, according to Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH). According to him, these accomplishments are the result of committed national capabilities striving to improve healthcare services and strengthen Bahrain’s reputation as a regional and global leader in healthcare and investment.

The announcement was made in light of the National Health Regulatory Authority’s (NHRA) national health institutions accreditation team’s training program receiving worldwide accreditation from the worldwide Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua EEA). The SCH Chairman praised NHRA’s efforts and dedication to worldwide standards of excellence, saying the accreditation is a crucial step in maintaining the provision of high-quality healthcare services.

According to Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Bahrain’s healthcare system is developing thanks to long-term initiatives that prioritize community safety and quality. According to her, this accomplishment ensures high-quality services for people and residents by empowering national workers, enhancing professionalism, and raising medical standards. She pointed out that the commitment of national employees, who continue to produce results of which the Kingdom is proud, is reflected in NHRA’s international certification.

The certification is a significant step in the Kingdom’s dedication to the highest standards of healthcare quality and competence in teaching national workers, according to Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of the NHRA. In order to support the sustainability of the country’s healthcare system, he continued, the accreditation team would keep working to attain distinction and efficiency through planning and development.

Since its launch in 2017, the national health institutions certification program has played a significant role in boosting competitiveness, luring high-quality healthcare investments, and increasing the effectiveness of health institutions through partnerships with stakeholders.

National health institutes received accreditation certificates during the occasion, and those that renewed their accreditation received special recognition. Technical and administrative committees, the national accreditation committee, and the NHRA‘s Accreditation and Quality Group were also recognized for their roles in reaching this milestone.
