Manama, Nov. 6 (BNA): The new Molecular Laboratory at the Laboratory Department of Salmaniya Medical Complex was opened by Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals.

In accordance with the Supreme Council of Health’s directions and the plan for precision medicine and cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, the Molecular Laboratory’s establishment is a part of continuous efforts to expand laboratory and diagnostic services in government hospitals.
Dr. Al Jalahma emphasized that the Molecular Laboratory, which offers sophisticated capabilities in analyzing genetic and molecular samples, contributes to early disease detection, and improves diagnostic and treatment accuracy, is a qualitative addition to the diagnostic infrastructure at Salmaniya Medical Complex.
She pointed out that by adopting the newest laboratory technologies, which enhance test quality and accuracy and speed up diagnosis and treatment for patients’ benefit, the laboratory’s opening is a significant step in the development of the government hospitals’ healthcare system.
Dr. Al Jalahma praised the work of skilled national employees who run the laboratory in accordance with the highest internationally recognized standards of quality and safety and thanked all medical and technical teams involved in carrying out the project.
She emphasized that the project is a component of government hospitals’ strategic plan to improve the integration of therapeutic and diagnostic services and accomplish the goals of the National Health Plan (2016-2025), which seeks to raise the standard and sustainability of healthcare services for Kingdom citizens and residents.
